Just saw The Great Debaters movie preview
Wow! I just saw the movie and cannot stop thinking about it. I won't ruin the ending, but seeing it (especially with my 10 year old son) was an intense and entertaining experience.

The Great Debaters featured in the New York Times
The Great Debaters is the subject of an article in the New York Times this week. The article chronicles Wiley College's history from its heyday as a prominent small black liberal arts college whose graduates played prominent roles in the civil rights era to its current struggle to survive. The article features students who today continue to be impacted by Wiley's legacy of empowerment.
Denzel and Forrest featured on Oprah

Yesterday's show focused on The Great Debaters. Oprah sat down with the two stars, who talked about their experiences working together, and about how the film came to be. It also featured interviews with Jurnee Smolett and Denzel Whittaker.
